What exactly is Feng Shui?
~ Feng Shui is the art and science of placement for homes, offices, interiors and exteriors. It works with energy in a space, much like quantum physics deals with spatial relationships of atoms and molecules. It originated in China over 5,000 years ago and has been modified and Westernized through the years.
What is the correct pronunciation of Feng Shui?
~ Phonetically-speaking it is pronounced [Fung Shway].
How would I benefit from a consultation?
~ I always consider the Chinese astrology of my client and what their strengths and weaknesses are and then consider the relationship of their space to their chart. I use the Feng Shui principles to do this.~This consultation may "unblock" the feel of a home or office and I advise what improvements can be implemented for significant positive change.
How long will it take?
~ For a home around 2500sq ft and larger I allow at least 2 to 3 hours. I normally charge a two hour minimum for all my consultations due to all the pre-work involved.
What does Feng Shui have to do with Real Estate, Staging and Color Consulting?
~All spaces are connected in some way and cause a positive or negative flow of energy. We all have a distinct Chinese chart based on our individual animal signs and elements. My consultation serves to explain the relationship of colors, natural elements, and space and how they work with your chart. There are optimal real estate properties and problematic properties. Colors and clutter clearing help to "clear" some spaces using Feng Shui principles.
